🍕 After months of anticipation, one of the country’s most decorated pizza names is finally ready to make its Arizona debut.
Slice House by Tony Gemignani – the fast-growing concept from the 13-time World Pizza Champion – officially will open its first Grand Canyon State location in Gilbert next Saturday, Feb. 28.
Located in the former Lou Malnati’s space near the northeast corner of Val Vista and Pecos, the fast-casual pizzeria will celebrate opening day starting at 11 a.m. with a special appearance by Gemignani, Slice House hat giveaways for the first 50 guests, and a raffle for free pizza for a year.
The menu showcases the style-spanning approach that’s made Slice House a national hit, with New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pies available by the slice or whole. Expect gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options alongside wings, salads, and fresh pastas, plus a beverage lineup featuring local craft beer and wine.
As with every new outpost, the Gilbert shop will debut an exclusive pie: Pop’s Special, a New York-style slice topped with fried chicken cutlets, Nashville hot sauce, bacon, ranch, green onions, hot honey, and Romano.
Franchised by East Valley residents Jason and Yvonne Pastore, the restaurant will seat about 16 inside with a similarly sized patio and will offer takeout, delivery, and online ordering.
Originally launched in San Francisco’s North Beach in 2010, Slice House has grown to more than 30 locations nationwide – and Arizona finally is joining the list.
