🇯🇵 Japanese culture takes center stage in Phoenix this weekend as Arizona Matsuri returns for two days of food, performances, and hands-on cultural experiences at Steele Indian School Park.
Running Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the free festival is one of the Valley’s longest-running cultural celebrations, created to introduce and celebrate both traditional and modern aspects of Japan while fostering connections within the local community.
Nearly 40 food vendors will be offering everything from ramen and street snacks to sweets and desserts. Highlights include Shimogamo, Nishikawa Ramen, Pokitrition, Hot Bamboo, Let’s Toast, Mochinut Donuts, and Beard Papa’s Cream Puffs, plus a beer garden for sipping between bites.
Expect the thunder of taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, tea ceremonies, a haiku expo, and more.
