Devour Culinary Classic announces 2026 winners

🏆 At the 18th annual Devour Culinary Classic held over the weekend at the Desert Botanical Garden with more than 100 of Arizona’s top chefs and makers showcasing their food and drinks.

Best of Show went to Carcara in downtown Phoenix for chef Dominique St. Pierre’s vibrant prickly pear pork belly layered with jicama and raspberry caviar.

There were two Double Gold Medal winners: Citizen Public House in Old Town Scottsdale for chef Bernie Kantak’s signature pork belly pastrami, and Scottsdale caterer Cuisine Privé for chef Sandra Kazouh’s ranchero brisket paired with crispy root vegetable gratin.

The former Best Use of Local Ingredients honor was renamed the Bob McClendon Locally Sourced Award, celebrating the pioneering organic farmer who passed away earlier this month.

This year’s winner was George & Gather in downtown Chandler for its whipped goat cheese on Barrio sourdough with balsamic date purée, local honey, and toasted pecans.

Amelia’s Mexican Kitchen from Tucson captured People’s Choice with its vegetarian enchilada in rich mole madre.
