Slice House by Tony Gemignani makes AZ debut Saturday

🍕 A pizza brand backed by one of the most decorated pizzaiolos in the world is making its Arizona debut this weekend in Gilbert.

Although it soft-opened a couple days ago, Slice House by Tony Gemignani – the crafted fast-casual concept from the 13-time world pizza champion – officially opens Saturday on the northeast corner of Val Vista and Pecos.

Opening day festivities begin at 11 a.m. and will include an appearance by Gemignani, a hat giveaway for the first 50 guests, and a raffle for free pizza for a year.

Franchised by East Valley residents Jason and Yvonne Pastore, the pizzeria brings a wide range of regional styles to the menu, including New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pies, available by the slice or whole.

Guests also will find fresh pastas, wings, salads, gluten-free and vegan options, plus local craft beer and wine.

As with every new Slice House, the Gilbert location features an exclusive pie: Pop’s Special, a New York-style slice topped with fried chicken cutlets, Nashville hot sauce, bacon, ranch, hot honey, and more.

Originally launched in San Francisco’s North Beach, Slice House has grown to 33 locations nationwide.

Open for lunch and dinner daily.
