San Diego fave Best Pizza & Brew makes AZ debut in Chandler

🍕🍺 San Diego-based Best Pizza & Brew has landed in the East Valley, opening its first Arizona location in downtown Chandler.

The growing pizza-and-beer concept has taken over the former Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup building next to The Sleepy Whale on the northwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Frye Road.

The Chandler outpost marks the brand’s ninth location and its first outside the San Diego area.

Best Pizza & Brew has built a loyal following with its lineup of specialty pizzas, available in both New York-style thin crust and Detroit-style thick squares. Standouts include the meatball parmesan, honey basil, chicken fajita, and pesto chicken burrata pies.

Beyond pizza, the menu stretches into classic bar-food territory. Diners can order traditional or boneless wings, fresh salads, and sandwiches, along with a wagyu burger.

For dessert, the playful lineup includes root beer floats and butterscotch pudding.

Beer is just as central to the concept. Best Pizza & Brew pours its own house-brewed craft beers, with staples like an IPA, hazy IPA, and blonde ale always on tap alongside a rotating selection that includes guest brews.

Inside, the space leans into a lively sports-bar feel with plenty of TVs and the brand’s signature “ice tower” beer system, where tap lines run through a dramatic sheet of ice.
