Uppercut, a steak omakase counter, opens inside Cleaverman

🥩 Uppercut, a 16-seat counter offering a 14-course steak omakase, has opened inside Cleaverman, the four-month-old upscale steakhouse at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix.

It’s the latest concept from Pretty Decent Concepts, whose other brands include Wren & Wolf, Filthy Animal, Carry On, the soon-to-open Roman, and others.

Uppercut offers one or two seatings per night focused on a series of house-aged beef creations from chefs Jared Porter and Travis Sassman.

The price isn’t cheap – $225 per person. You can add wine pairings (additional $125-$300) or a whiskey flight.

Open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday.
