🐓 Phoenix, the city that apparently can’t get enough heat, is welcoming Houston TX Hot Chicken to the northwest corner of Camelback and 20th Street on Saturday.
The Texas-born chain, which made its Arizona debut in Tempe in 2022, deals in fresh (never frozen), organic, antibiotic-free hot chicken at spice levels ranging from sensible to “Houston We Have a Problem,” which famously requires a signed waiver.
The grand opening runs noon to 3 p.m. and is very much an event: the first 250 guests get free food and drinks, there’s a $1,000 spice challenge contest, an exotic car meet, and – only in the Biltmore’s orbit – a raffle for a 4-hour Lamborghini rental.
The menu flexes sandwiches, tenders, Fusion Fries, and a Texas Caesar Salad that I’m honestly a little curious about.
