Agave, altitude & rattlesnake: Cielito opens in Scottsdale

🌃 Cielito (“little sky” in Spanish) has opened atop the AC Hotel Scottsdale Old Town near the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Indian School, showcasing views of the Old Town skyline and Camelback Mountain.

But the menu is the real story. Award-winning chef Shon Foster – best known for his work at acclaimed Utah resort restaurant Amangiri and a Tempe native making his Arizona restaurant debut – drew inspiration from the coastal and desert regions of northwest Mexico.

Think aguachile with tataki scallops, lamb with foraged mushrooms and mezcal, and the wildly intriguing rabbit and rattlesnake in mezcal cream.

Cocktails lean heavily on agave spirits: mezcal, sotol, and bacanora.

Open for lunch and dinner daily.
