Echo 5 Sports Pub shuts down after 12 years in northeast Mesa

🚫 After more than a decade serving northeast Mesa, Echo 5 Sports Pub announced Monday it has permanently closed, thanking loyal customers “for all this year.”

Former Marines sergeant Mike Alton opened Echo 5 in 2014 in the former O’Neill’s Sports Pub space on the northeast corner of Power and McDowell – a location that had chewed up a half-dozen concepts in the years prior.

Echo 5 outlasted them all, making it one of the longer-running tenants the corner has seen. No word yet on what moves in next.
