Valley chef takes on Bobby Flay on Food Network on Thursday

📺 Chef Devan Cunningham – best known for opening CC’s on Central in midtown Phoenix with his mother, Sharon – returns to the Food Network on Thursday when he takes on Bobby Flay on ‘‘Beat Bobby Flay.’’

The episode, titled ‘‘School That Fool’’ (9 p.m. on most TV platforms), is Cunningham’s second Food Network appearance, following a ‘‘Chopped’’ stint last May.

These days he’s keeping busy with bar bites at Highball, private chef work with The Good Food Table, and pop-ups around the Valley. His mother still runs CC’s on Central.
