🚫 The sheep’s milk ice cream experiment at The Trailhead didn’t last long.
Negranti Creamery, the Oregon-based creamery known for its handcrafted sheep’s milk scoops, quietly closed its Peoria outpost on the northeast corner of 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road after just six months.
No formal farewell – the doors just went dark. The silver lining? The space barely had time to cool down.
Petersen’s Ice Cream, the Chicago-born institution scooping since 1919, opened over the weekend in the same spot, bringing its old-fashioned parlor vibes to the West Valley for the first time.
It’s a sweet consolation prize for Trailhead regulars.
Negranti fans aren’t completely out of luck – the Camelback Road location in Phoenix remains open if you’re craving a sheep’s milk scoop.
