Pitta Souvli in south Chandler closes, trying to raise $50K

💰 Pitta Souvli Mediterranean Grill, the family-owned south Chandler gem that spent years serving the community with warmth and care, has closed its doors after a wave of unexpected financial hardships.

Rising operating costs and mounting bills eventually overwhelmed what the owners had built from the ground up on the northwest corner of Alma School and Germann.

Now, a GoFundMe campaign launched by a close friend is giving the community a chance to write a different ending. The goal is $50,000 to cover overdue bills, catch up on operating expenses, and restore payroll for their staff.

As of this writing, 28 donors have contributed just over $2,700 – a start, but a long road remains.
