🍜 Udon Shin, the Tokyo ramen shop famous for lines that wrap around the block, is opening its first U.S. location at noon Saturday inside Mesa’s Mekong Plaza on the southwest corner of Main and Dobson.
They’re bringing over everything that made them a Tokyo institution: thick, springy handmade udon noodles, crispy tempura, rich dashi broths, and the dish the internet won’t stop talking about – the Carbonara Udon (pictured).
This isn’t a watered-down American spin-off. It’s the full Tokyo noodle experience, house-made and from-scratch, without the 14-hour flight.
Whether you’re a udon die-hard or just looking for your next obsession, this grand opening is worth clearing your Saturday afternoon for.
After Saturday, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
