🌭 Ted’s Hot Dogs – a fourth-generation, Buffalo-born institution that’s been charcoal-grilling hot dogs since 1927 – is throwing open the doors of its brand-new Chandler location this weekend, and they’re making it a party nearly a decade in the coming.
The new spot near the northwest corner of Gilbert and Germann kicks off with a public grand opening Saturday (11 a.m.–9 p.m.), and the giveaways are serious.
The first customer through the door snags a Golden Keychain that gets them unlimited buy-one-get-one free hot dogs ‘‘for life.’’ Five more keychains will be up for grabs throughout the day, plus free hot dogs for the first 100 guests, free tees for the first 20, and complimentary ice cream at the walk-up window all day while supplies last.
Sunday brings Buffalo Day – wear your Buffalo, NY gear and score a free hot dog (first 50 guests).
The Chandler location, whose construction was first announced in 2017, is Ted’s most feature-rich yet: outdoor patio, cozy indoor nooks, a walk-up ice cream window, and the brand’s first-ever drive-thru.
Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
