🚫 Old Town Scottsdale’s wine trail has lost a familiar stop. Arizona Stronghold Vineyards’ tasting room near the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and Marshall Way has poured its last flight.
The spot opened in 2022 and built a following with patio seating, tapas-style bites, and tasting flights that drew both tourists and neighborhood regulars.
According to Phoenix New Times, the closure wasn’t driven by a rent hike or a lease dispute. Instead, the winery decided to refocus its energy on serving its roughly 500-member Valley wine club through rotating pickup parties and partner events across the metro area, rather than maintaining a single storefront.
The exit doesn’t mean Arizona Stronghold is leaving the tasting room business altogether. Its Old Town Cottonwood location remains open for anyone craving a glass of their Verde Valley-grown wine.
