Harry & Izzy’s finally announces opening date for Arizona debut

The wait is almost over. Harry & Izzy’s, the Indianapolis steakhouse chain that announced plans for a Valley debut back in April 2025, has set an opening date: Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The upscale American grill is opening in a newly built, 8,300-square-foot restaurant at PV, the sprawling redevelopment on the site of the former Paradise Valley Mall on the northwest corner of Tatum and Cactus in northeast Phoenix.

The building also includes a 2,400-square-foot patio and outside bar, with room to seat 340 people.

The menu spans steaks, seafood, sandwiches, salads and pastas, and Harry & Izzy’s is especially known for its shrimp cocktail appetizer – a nod to sister restaurant St. Elmo Steak House‘s famous version, since Harry & Izzy’s was founded by two former St. Elmo operators, Harry Roth and Izzy Rosen.

The PV location is the brand’s first outside the Indianapolis area and marks the first Valley venture for Huse Culinary, the hospitality group behind St. Elmo, 1933 Lounge, and HC Tavern & Kitchen.

Company executives have said they’re already scouting other Valley locations for their remaining concepts.
