Add another name to the growing list of restaurants headed to The Switchyard: Postino, Arizona’s beloved all-day restaurant and wine bar, is set to open its doors in Queen Creek later this year. It’s the brand’s first foray into the fast-growing QC District, and it’s bringing the same ‘‘come-as-you-are’’ energy that’s made Postino a cult favorite across the Valley.
The new spot will slot into The Switchyard, situated on the northeast corner of Ocotillo and the Ellsworth Loop, alongside an already stacked lineup of dining and retail, including Shake Shack, Snooze, Cava, Jeni’s, and Blu Sushi.
Postino Queen Creek will offer 3,800 square feet of interior seating for 107 guests, plus a sprawling 1,953-square-foot patio that can hold another 86. Expect the brand’s signature design touches – a floor-to-ceiling Zuru lamp partition, custom walnut wine walls, roll-up garage doors, and mid-century furnishings sourced from local vintage shops. A nod to Queen Creek’s ranching-era history will come in the form of a custom art wall made from vintage milk caps.
On the menu: Postino’s usual mix of bruschetta, panini, salads, charcuterie, and shareable plates, backed by 20-plus wines by the glass. The daily happy hour ($6 wine and beer pitchers until 5 p.m.) and the Monday/Tuesday $25 Bottle & Board deal will both make the trip east, along with the Postino Bottle Club for regulars who want quarterly wine picks and member perks.
“Arizona is where Postino first began, and growing our footprint here in a thriving community like Queen Creek feels incredibly special,” says co-founder and CEO Lauren Bailey.
Postino Queen Creek will be open daily for lunch and dinner, with weekend brunch starting at 10 AM. No exact opening date yet, but it’s slated for later this fall.
