🍕 Change is in the air at Painted Mountain Golf Resort in northeast Mesa. Pizzicata, near the northeast corner of McKelllips and Recker, has officially rebranded as Scarpetta on the Green, though it remains part of the Pizzicata family under the same ownership, David and Stefany Pope.
The kitchen, the pastas, and the wood-fired pizzas aren’t going anywhere. Executive chef Valentina Accia, a native of Italy’s Umbria region, continues leading the scratch kitchen that put this spot on Mesa’s Italian food map.
So why “Scarpetta”? In Italian dining tradition, “fare la scarpetta” means using a piece of bread to soak up every last bit of sauce on the plate, a nod to meals too good to leave anything behind.
Beyond the new signage, guests can still expect handcrafted cocktails, live entertainment, and golf course views.
