🥩 Today’s the day. Harry & Izzy’s is opening its doors at PV, the Indianapolis steakhouse chain’s first location outside its home state.
The restaurant occupies a newly built, 8,300-square-foot building on the northeast corner of PV’s central park – the green space used for the development’s live music and events. It has a 2,400-square-foot patio, an outdoor bar, and room for 340 guests.
The menu covers premium steaks, seafood, sandwiches, salads, and pastas, with the St. Elmo Steak House Shrimp Cocktail (pictured) as the marquee starter.
That’s not a coincidence: Harry & Izzy’s was founded in 2007 by Huse Culinary, the same Indianapolis group behind St. Elmo, and named for Harry Roth and Izzy Rosen, who ran that steakhouse for nearly four decades.
Three Harry & Izzy’s locations already operate in the Indianapolis area; PV is the fourth, and the first anywhere else.
Arriving in Valley
Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, long part of the brand’s ownership group, is joining the Paradise Valley restaurant as a partner. It’s a Colts-to-Cardinals-country move that Huse Culinary is leaning into as it introduces itself to a new market.
And Harry & Izzy’s may not be Huse’s last stop in the Valley. Back when the Phoenix restaurant was first announced, CEO Craig Huse revealed he was already scouting Scottsdale for future Huse Culinary concepts.
‘‘We think Scottsdale is very complementary to our brands,’’ he said, adding that it ‘‘elevates the brand’’ in a way smaller Indiana markets wouldn’t. Nothing’s been confirmed since, but it’s worth watching whether the PV opening turns into the first of several Huse outposts in the Valley.
Hours
Harry & Izzy’s is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.
