Culinary Gangster muscles onto Mill Avenue in Tempe

🍔 Culinary Gangster, the family-run concept that started as a Chicago food truck before building a Valley following, has opened its doors on the southeast corner of Mill and Fifth Street, tucked beneath Varsity Tavern, in Downtown Tempe.

This marks the third Arizona location for the brand, founded by father-son duo Ricky and Rocco Raschillo, joining sister spots in North Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix.

The menu leans into what built Culinary Gangster’s following: towering, specialty burgers piled with toppings like fried onions, aged white cheddar, and habanero sauce, best represented by the signature Spicy Gangster.

But the lineup goes well beyond beef and buns. Expect quinoa bowls, wraps, salads, and an all-day breakfast menu anchored by the Baja Breakfast Burrito.

Hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Thursday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
