Pubblico Italian Eatery closes after 6 years in Central Scottsdale

🚫 Another Valley Italian favorite has quietly closed its doors. Pubblico Italian Eatery, the family-owned spot on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads in Central Scottsdale, has shut down, ending a run that began back in 2020.

The restaurant confirmed the closure in a note posted to its OpenTable page:

‘‘To our valued guests and community, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our doors, effective today. Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer able to remain open. Thank you for the years of patronage, your support, and for allowing us to share so many meals and memories with you. Serving this community has been a privilege, and we will miss you all dearly. Please visit us at Carbòn Mexican Eatery in Scottsdale.’’

Pubblico built its name on house-made pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and an Italian-forward wine list, drawing a loyal following for date nights, celebrations, and weekend brunch in a cozy, upscale setting. It was a collaboration between owner Danny Quinn and chef Danny Garcia.

This isn’t Pubblico’s first closure. The original location, which opened in Phoenix in 2018, closed back in 2024. Quinn and Garcia’s Rockefeller seafood restaurant in Scottsdale also closed in 2024 after two years in business.

Today’s note points loyal guests toward Carbòn Mexican Eatery – and that’s not a random referral. Quinn also owns Carbón, an open-fire concept that opened in 2024, again with Garcia in the kitchen.
