🌮 Mark your calendars: Vecina‘s long-awaited McCormick Ranch location will fling open its doors for a full grand opening on Friday, Sept. 18. After weeks of anticipation since the Arcadia favorite announced its expansion, we now have a firm date.
The new spot, tucked into the former Z’Tejas space on the northwest corner of Hayden and Via de Ventura, is nearly triple the size of the original Arcadia restaurant. That extra room means a bigger kitchen (hello, catering), private dining areas, a mezzanine, and a patio overlooking the lake.
Chef James Fox’s menu will bring over the dishes that built Vecina’s cult following, including the karaage – carne asada-marinated chicken fried to a crunch and finished with aji amarillo sauce and citrus gastrique – and the Faroe Island salmon tacos with yuzu kosho aioli and citrus.
Beverage director Sloane Van Zanen’s cocktail program carries over too, from the Spicy Margarita and grapefruit-rosemary Paloma to seasonal drinks like the Pisco-and-Chartreuse El Rey.
Owners Raenee and James Fox have described the new space as a chance to do what their cozy original never had room for – more seats, more menu range, and a ground-up design built specifically for the Vecina experience they envisioned from the start.
