🍕 I don’t fully get the fascination many people have with Thrifty Ice Cream, but the 18 flavors at Zane’s Pizza & Ice Cream seem to account for at least half of the rave reviews for the small family-run eatery that’s opened on the northwest corner of Cactus and 35th Avenue in northwest Phoenix.
The other half can be accredited to the New York-style pizzas, which come in six sizes – from 10 to 32 inches – with the Mediterranean Twist (grilled chicken, green olives, onions, tomatoes, and feta) and Meat Lovers Supreme (beef, chicken, sausage, and pepperoni) as the go-tos.
Open 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. daily.
