Four Peaks is pouring 30-cent pints to celebrate 30 years

Thirty years, thirty cents. Four Peaks Brewing is turning back the clock on beer prices to celebrate three decades of brewing in Tempe, and it’s doing it on the most fitting day of the year: National Drink Beer Day.

For one hour only, from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, pints at Four Peaks’s Eighth Street Pub will ring up at just 30 cents. That’s less than you’ll find in the couch cushions, and it’s happening at the brick-walled spot where the Four Peaks story began back in 1996.

The lineup reads like a greatest-hits album. There’s Kilt Lifter Amber Ale, the malty Scottish-style amber that’s Arizona’s unofficial state beer, plus the easy-drinking WOW Wheat and the summery Peach Golden Ale.

Hopheads can reach for the 8th Street English Pale Ale or the Raj English IPA, while the crisp FP96 Light American Lager, named for the brewery’s founding year, rounds things out.
