Randizzle’s Burger Bar coming to downtown Mesa this fall

Plot twist: Randizzle’s first brick & mortar won’t be in Phoenix after all.

Randizzle’s, the gourmet burger and taco truck founded by ex-Arizona Rattlers standout Randy Gatewood, just signed a lease for Randizzle’s Burger Bar on the northwest corner of Main and Mcdonald in downtown Mesa

The move came together unexpectedly. The space was most recently home to Outcast Doughnuts, the layered-doughnut and Dopecone shop that opened next to sibling Level 1 Arcade Bar in June 2023 and closed in July of this year.

Because it’s already almost fully equipped, Randizzle’s can skip much of the usual build-out. Pending inspections and final approvals, the goal is to open in October.

But don’t worry, Phoenix fans: Mesa is not replacing the Randizzle’s Burger Bar at Seventh Avenue and McDowell I told you about in July. Gatewood says construction there is still underway, with a late November/early December opening targeted.

“So instead of choosing between Mesa and Phoenix … we’re doing BOTH,” he wrote on social media.

That means Randizzle’s could go from one food truck to two restaurants anda food truck before the end of 2026. That’s not bad for a business that started as a single truck in 2019 and won Best Food Truck Experience at the Arizona Restaurant Association’s 2024 Foodist Awards.
