Sun Devil fans have a new pregame option. Russo’s New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen, the franchise founded by chef Anthony Russo, has opened on the southeast corner of College Avenue and Veterans Way, across the road from Mountain America Stadium.
It’s the brand’s second Arizona location, following its 2024 debut at Cannon Beach in southeast Mesa.
What’s on the menu
Local franchisees Kristina and Christian Alvarez run the shop, which serves New York-style pizza, oversized slices, a 28-inch Giant Party Pizza, and scratch-made pasta and Italian dishes.
The couple says the food sold them on the concept, citing its fresh ingredients and scratch-made recipes. Russo, meanwhile, stresses that his kitchens skip frozen dough and artificial additives.
Prices suit a student budget: slices run $4.95, and the 28-inch pie is $49.95.

Open 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 2-10 p.m. Sunday.
