🍺 Phantom Fox Beer Co. and its in-house pizzeria Goat & Ram make it official Thursday with an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting at their new downtown Tempe home, the former Illegal Pete’s space just south of Fifth Street.
Owners Trent Smith and Eric Cady, who also run downtown Mesa’s Chupacabra Taproom, are marking Phantom Fox’s second location with an ink-heavy opening weekend: three nights, three tattoo studios, and nine-plus artists.
- Thursday (5-11 p.m.): SPC Tattoos and Emotionally Tatted
- Friday (7 p.m.-midnight): PV Tattoos and Izzy Bryant
- Saturday (3 p.m.-midnight): Sad Boy Studio, Sad Boy Needles, and friends
Saturday also brings an ASU football pregame and watch party.
Dan and Morgan Medlen’s Goat & Ram handles the food with wood-fired pies, including specialty pizzas that rotate roughly every two weeks.
What’s next
Next up for the partners is a third Phantom Fox/Goat & Ram combo at The Gilmore in south Gilbert, targeted for 2027.
