Big Nate’s Family BBQ is marking six years in business this Wednesday, by giving back to Mesa. From 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., every in-person customer at both locations gets a free pulled pork sandwich and choice of side, plus giveaways and family-friendly fun.
Founded by Eric and Anna Solheim and Ray and Tyra Dandridge, Big Nate’s started as a family food truck before opening its first restaurant in 2020. It now has two Mesa locations – 1722 N. Banning (Higley and McKellips) and 6750 E. Main St. (Power and Main).
The menu features Texas-style barbecue smoked for more than 12 hours, along with homemade sides and house-made sauces. Last year’s anniversary saw 6,000 free sandwiches (pictured) handed out.
