Three James Beard-nominated chefs, one giant table, and a good cause. On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Esplanade will turn its plaza into Phoenix’s largest communal dining table for the inaugural Esplanade Community Table, with all proceeds going to St. Mary’s Food Bank.
What’s cooking
Roberto Centeno (Espíritu, pictured) teams up with Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin (Tacos Chiwas, Cocina Chiwas) on a four-course, family-style menu built just for the night.
The trio, who are also partners in Main Burger, will lean into live-fire cooking and handmade tortillas, with floral installations and live entertainment filling the plaza.
Flint by Baltaire, Camello, The Mercer, and Hearsay will each pour a cocktail paired to one of the courses.
Dinner for a cause
Sponsors have already raised $50,000, enough for more than 250,000 meals.
Seating is for 150-plus guests, and tickets are $500 per person.
