Happy Bao’s, a Chinese eatery specializing in dumplings, noodles, and bao (steamed buns), has opened in the Mekong Plaza on the southwest corner of Dobson and Main in west Mesa.

Five types of dumplings – including the house signature dumplings with pork, shrimp, chives, and eggs – are available in plates of 10 ($6.99-$9.99) or 20 ($11.99-$15.99).

There also are five different bao – including the popular xiaolongbao with pork, scallions, and chicken broth (pictured) – in baskets of six to eight ($7.99-$11.99).

Nine noodle dishes range in price from liangpi (a meatless but flavorful concoction served cold, $7.99) to seafood wonton noodle soup ($12.99).

The menu also offers rice plates, fried rice plates, and rice porridge.

Happy Bao’s is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
