⛷️ The Montauk in Old Town Scottsdale transforms into the ‘‘Champagne Chalet at Mount Montauk’’ today for a day of fake snow, chilly libations from an ice luge, plenty of champagne, and themed photo ops. Doors open at 9 a.m.

🍦 Jeni’s Ice Cream in Old Town Scottsdale celebrates Ice Cream for Breakfast Day with limited-time Banana French Toast and Maple Soaked Pancakes pints, French Toast waffle cones, and giveaways from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.

🦞 The 12th annual Southwest Cajun Fest – featuring Mardi Gras food, Dixieland bands, bead-throwing, a hidden speakeasy, street performers, and more – takes place 2-10 p.m. Saturday in downtown Chandler. Admission: $8-$28.

🍺 The Sugar Bar in Chandler celebrates its two-year anniversary with a block party, beer collaborations, food trucks, music and music bingo, lawn games, prize giveaways, and face painting from 5-11 p.m. Saturday.

Top food & drink events in the Valley this weekend

🍷 Arizona Wine Festival (pictured): More than 20 Arizona wineries, plus live music, food trucks, and vendors from 11 a.m .-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Square in Phoenix. Tickets: $30-$45 (includes 10 tasting tickets).

📖 A Taste of AZ Festival: Quarterly magazine Taste of AZ hosts its first food and drink festival from 2:30-6 p.m. Saturday at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. Tickets: $89-$129 (includes unlimited food samples and 15 drink samples).

🍜 Nom Nom Noodles Festival: More than 20 restaurants and vendors will sell noodle dishes from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Plaza Park in Peoria. Tickets: $15-$20 (noodle dishes are an additional 5-$17 apiece).

🍺 Steel Cactus 1-year anniversary: Gilbert brewery celebrates from 6 p.m.-close Saturday with drink specials, music trivia with prizes, live band karaoke, and music by Punk ’n Pints with Punk Daddy. No cover.

👨‍🍳👨‍🍳 Well-known East Valley chefs Jeff Kraus (left) of Crêpe Bar and Adam Allison of Handlebar Diner and Brightside Burgers will collaborate on a pop-up dinner from 4-8:30 Thursday at Caffe Boa in Ahwatukee.

The menu

1st course: Freeform lobster lasagna, sauce thermidor, whipped ricotta, spinach, roasted tomato, mozzarella, ‘‘corner piece’’ tuille, lemon.

2nd course: Seared New York strip, pizzaiola sauce, salsa verde risotto, porcini and portobella mushrooms, arugula, Frankie’s 457.

Dessert: Coffee cherry churned zabaglione with olive oil bombolini.

Kraus and Allison are opening a farm-to-table restaurant called Tortoise & Hare in downtown Mesa this year.

🥓🍺 The Beer Research Institute in Mesa will complement four unique bacon preparations with four of its craft beers at its monthly pairing all day (while supplies last) Thursday, Jan. 25. Cost is $25.

The pairings

  1. Thick bacon, goat cheese, and grilled fennel served on crostini and drizzled with beurre blanc sauce. Paired with Lolli Belgian Blonde.
  2. Crispy slab bacon burnt ends glazed with Asian-inspired BBQ sauce. Paired with 480G West Coast IPA.
  3. Smoked Canadian bacon cooked into a fried potato pancake with Maple Country gravy. Paired with Writer’s Block Helles.
  4. Thick-cut bacon dipped in milk chocolate, slathered in marshmallow fluff, and coated in crushed graham cracker. Paired with Morning Sex Milk Stout.

🍦 Sweet Republic artisan ice cream shops have brought back Ultra Chocolate in memory of the late Sandra Day O’Connor, whose favorite dessert was ‘‘anything featuring chocolate.’’ They’re donating 25% of pint sales through the end of December to the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute of American Law.

🍹 Recently opened Maple House in downtown Chandler celebrates its grand opening from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday with 25% off all beverages, including coffee, wine, beer, and low-alcohol cocktails.

🍦 Bruster’s Real Ice Cream at Arizona and Warner in Chandler is offering $2 off any size waffle cone or bowl from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday for its two-year anniversary.

🍻 Helluva Brewing in west Chandler marks its five-year anniversary Saturday with the release of a couple special beers, including barrel-aged Mele Kalikimaka Cinnamon Coconut Porter.

🎟 The Wandering Tortoise taproom in Phoenix is raffling off a $1,000 gift card as part of its seven-year anniversary party today through Sunday. There also will be collaborative beer releases.

Olive samples, olive classes, olive oil cooking demos, live music, and games are just a few of the activities at the Olivepalooza Harvest Festival at Queen Creek Olive Mill from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

🎅🏼 Enjoy $5 food and drink specials at 20 downtown Chandler restaurants and bars during the annual Sippin’ Santas Pub Crawl from noon-3 p.m. (Nice List) or 3-6 p.m. (Naughty List) Saturday. Tickets are $20 in advance. VIP tickets are sold out.

🍺 Fire & Fury Brewing in Phoenix celebrates its second anniversary with special beer tappings, raffles, food, and live music Saturday. Doors open at noon. The brewery is located on the northeast corner of 32nd Street and Thunderbird.

🍷 Sample and shop for Arizona food and drink products at the annual Local Love Holiday Market from noon-9 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Dempsey Originals bakery in Tempe. What’s Brewing AZ will be selling coffee and other warm beverages.

🍸🎅🏼 Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour in downtown Phoenix has launched its annual tiki-themed Sippin’ Santas holiday pop-up bar (pictured). And Floor 13 Rooftop Lounge in Phoenix is hosting the nationwide Miracle pop-up bar.

🍺🍌 OHSO Brewery releases its popular Bananarchy, a barrel-aged stout brewed with bananas, cacao nibs, and pecans, at all locations at 9 a.m. Saturday. There also are two variants this year: Bananas Foster Bananarchy and Cinnamon Peanut Butter Bananarchy.

🍺🍷🥃 The fifth annual AZ Barrels, Bottles & Brews, featuring samples from more than 25 of Arizona’s top breweries, distillers, and vintners, happens 2-5 p.m Saturday at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. General admission is $60 and VIP tickets are $85.

🍺🇺🇸 Ground Control in Litchfield Park hosts its 10th annual Red, White & Brew Charity Beer Festival, featuring more than 20 breweries and live music, from 2-6 pm. Saturday. Tickets are $25-$90.

🎉 Enjoy traditional and fusion food and drink samples from indigenous chefs at the Arizona Indigenous Culinary Experience from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. Tickets are $40-$70.

☘️ Longtime Mill Avenue Irish pub Rula Bula, which closed in 2021, holds a Pop-Up Pub from 2-8 p.m. Friday at ASU’s Mountain America Stadium. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended.

🍺 The Beer Research Institute in Mesa will host a 9-Year Anniversary Party with an anniversary ale release,  pop-up tattoo shop, and live music from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

🍕 You can buy slices or whole pies at the eighth annual Phoenix Pizza Festival from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix. Tickets are $16 and only available online.

🍺 Enjoy Belgian beers and a Belgium-inspired food menu at the Papago Brewing Belgian Fest from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday at the Mesa Riverview brew pub. Admission is free.

🍺 North Mountain Brewing in Phoenix celebrates its 10th anniversary by bringing back its Blues & Brews Festival from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on Sunday.

🍖 The Downtown Mesa BBQ Classic, the only Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned competition in Arizona, will take place 5-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Main and McDonald.

🇬🇷 A Taste of Greece Taverna, featuring Greek food and drink, runs 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday at the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church Community Center in Chandler. Admission is free.

🎟 The USA Today Food & Wine Experience takes place 1-4 p.m. Saturday at High Street in northeast Phoenix.  VIP tickets are sold out, but general admission still is available.

🥒 Wasted Grain hosts Scottsdale Pickle Fest from noon-8 p.m. Saturday. The event features pickle-focused foods and drinks (pictured), as well as a band, a DJ, and giveaways.

🍺🍷 A few tickets still are available for the Terroir Festival hosted by Arizona Wilderness Brewing from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at Agritopia urban farm in Gilbert.
