🎉 Backyard, an 8,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor bar and grill, opens today in the former Sandbar Mexican Grill building at Desert Ridge Marketplace in northeast Phoenix.
Both Backyard and Sandbar are concepts from Scottsdale-based Evening Entertainment Group, which also includes Bottled Blonde, RnR Gastropub, Casa Amigos, Hi-Fi Kitchen & Cocktails, Bevvy, and Chauncey Social.
It’s EEG’s third Backyard location, joining others in Dallas and Fort Worth.
What’s on the menu?
Highlights of the elevated bar food menu are the Backyard nachos ($14), BBQ short rib flatbread ($18), and signature homestyle meatloaf ($22). Check out the menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch.
The bar offers 15 specialty cocktails, 20 beers on tap and more in bottles or cans, and wines by the glass or bottle.
The space
The dog-friendly venue (three of the four exterior walls open to the outdoors) has games like Pop-a-Shot and Corn Hole, four 18-feet-by-10-feet LED screens that can showcase up to 32 games at once, and a stage for live music.
A nightlife vibe will take over after dark with DJs and bottle service.
