The Beer Research Institute in Mesa releases cans of Rice Krispy Bois, an American rice lager, at 11 a.m. today.
The easy-drinking beer with clever can art (pictured) has an ABV of 4.5% and just 15 IBUs.
The beer’s name is a play on the phrase ‘‘crispy bois,’’ which started as a somewhat derogatory term for filtered, non-hoppy lagers and those who prefer them.
Over the past few years, light lagers have enjoyed a surge in popularity.
