A pair of music-themed concepts – Sottise Sound Room, a modern French bistro, and Off The Record, an upstairs cocktail bar – are coming to the historic Knipe House on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix.
The team: Chef TJ Culp and co-owner Esther Noh, the duo behind Restaurant Progress (pictured) and neighboring wine shop The Montecito in Phoenix’s Melrose neighborhood.
The space: Culp and Noh have bought the 112-year-old building on the southeast corner of Portland and Second Street. It will be decorated with antique music speakers.
Projected opening: December 2021.
