Dog rescue founder launches Pizza to the Rescue in Phoenix

🍕 Pizza to the Rescue, an Italian restaurant whose mission includes supporting a dog rescue, has opened on the southeast corner of Indian School and 26th Street in Phoenix.

Geri Hormel, the founder of Almost There Rescue, opened the pizzeria next door with partner Hunter Rodgers and donates 25% of proceeds from pizza sales to the rescue.

What’s on the menu?

Six wood-fired specialty pizzas ($14-$23), plus a build-your-own option.

Also: Appetizers ($12-$13), salads ($15-$18), pastas ($19-$28), wood-grilled dishes such as meatballs ($16) and brick chicken ($28-$56), and desserts ($10-$12).

A full bar offers cocktails, wine, and beer.
