👨🍳 Risi Bisi con Milanesa (pictured) and Garlic Chicken Pesto will be the co-entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners, held in a private dining room, feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu.
This week’s courses
- Greek Skins: Fried and baked potato skins stuffed with gyro meat, artichokes, feta and kasseri cheese. Served with homemade yogurt sauce.
- Greek Salad: Tomato cucumber salad with onion, green peppers, and feta cheese tossed In olive oil and red wine vinegar. Garnished with Kalamata olives and pepperoncini.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, peas cooked in chicken broth. Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, parsley cilantro salad, lemon wedges.
- Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sautéed with roasted garlic, pine nuts, and olive oil in basil pesto cream. Served over linguini.
- Drunken Roses: Vodka-soaked cherries in a chocolate rose casing.
