Tucson’s Fatboy Sandos brings Japanese-inspired sandwiches to west Mesa

🥪 Fatboy Sandos, a Japanese-inspired sandwich concept out of Tucson, has opened a second location at the AZ International Marketplace on the northeast corner of Dobson and Broadway in west Mesa.

Sandos typically are made with milk bread, a spongy, square bread that’s normally cut thick.

Varieties of sandos ($14) include Japanese egg salad, pork katsu, and eggplant katsu (vegan). There’s also a fruit and cream dessert sando ($6).

Fatboy also offers rice bowls ($13), onigiris ($8), and Japanese fried chicken ($13).
