🐓 Twist Hot Chicken, which made its debut in Peoria last year, has opened a second location near the northwest corner of Mill and Fifth Street in downtown Tempe.
The local fast-casual concept has taken over the space previously home to Los Angeles-based Slangin’ Birdz, which closed in July after less than two years in business.
Twist Hot Chicken offers several variations of the classic Nashville hot chicken, including Caribbean jerk, bleu cheese, and hot honey.
Each variation is available in four different heat levels, the spiciest being ‘‘Can’t Touch This’’ featuring ghost peppers and Trinidad 7-Pot peppers.
