She got the idea when a chef client asked if she could fix an apron.<\/p>\n<p>Now, she has a line of aprons that address specific needs of chefs, baristas, and brewers while also reflecting a restaurant or chef\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s identity.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been a subtle movement in the restaurant world away from the black and whites,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mu\u00c3\u00b1iz says. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Chefs, bartenders and baristas want their apron \u00e2\u20ac\u201c really their business suit \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to match the creativity and innovation they are putting into their food and drinks.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Mu\u00c3\u00b1iz (pictured) has already designed aprons for places like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.topoftherockbuttes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Top of the Rock<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cartelcoffeelab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Cartel Coffee Lab<\/strong><\/a>, and Cr\u00c3\u00aape Bar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Most standard aprons are in slim or short sizes,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mu\u00c3\u00b1iz says. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We provide an off-the-rack size that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s more true to an average person\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s shape. And in customizing, a chef can get something sized just to him or her.<\/p>\n<p>“We also provide things like hidden cell phone pockets, towel loops, and other little touches that make the apron truly theirs.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Mu\u00c3\u00b1iz’s aprons also appeal to woodworkers, metal shop workers, and crafters of all types. She even has a line for children.<\/p>\n<p>Apron prices start at $45 for retail adult aprons and $25 for kids.
