Before Squid Ink,\u00c2\u00a0it was chef Payton Curry&#8217;s short-lived <strong>Taco Haus<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The new concept comes\u00c2\u00a0from Nelly Kohsok, Fouad Khodr, and Bassel Osmani, the trio that launched Pita Jungle in 1994. The Mediterranean-inspired eatery now has 20 locations in Arizona and one in California.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Boasting the tagline\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sea, Ocean, Stream,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Grand Blue is described as \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc\u00e2\u20ac\u02dca fresh seafood market as well as a high-energy bistro with an elegant bar serving everything from mussels and oysters to salmon and tuna.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Small plates will span the globe, including\u00c2\u00a0sushi from Japan, poke from the Pacific islands, ceviches from the Americas, tartars and crudos from Latin Europe, and the Levant,\u00c2\u00a0smoked and brined seafood from northern Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In addition, Grand Blue will serve sustainable\u00c2\u00a0fish flown in fresh, custom-cooked, and paired with sides.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Our food will be fresh, abundant, and unpretentious,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Osmani says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The menu also will offer salads topped with seafood, sandwiches and lobster rolls, and fish shawarma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The opening is expected in late July or August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pita Jungle\u00c2\u00a0on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Shea in Scottsdale is getting a new neighbor: Grand Blue, a\u00c2\u00a0seafood restaurant aimed at the gap between fast-casual and high-end.
