Jorge’s Chicken & Waffles, which opened in February on the northeast corner of Terrace and Apache in Tempe, has closed.
Hoping to follow in the footsteps of popular local chain Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles, the new concept had described itself as “soul food blended with Mexican ingredients.”
The restaurant and bar originally stayed open until 3 a.m. on weekends to draw the post-bar crowd from nearby ASU.
Original owner Dave Knapp bailed on the concept a few months ago.
