Mark’s Cafe is rolling out its pasta bar today for another good cause: Phoenix North High School’s culinary arts program.
The Tempe cafe made headlines last year when customers volunteered time, expertise and materials to renovate the out-of-date business. Since then, owners Mark and Karen Vojtek have paid it forward.
The current cause is the high school’s program, which is taught by regular customer Mary Sarwark. Mark Vojtek (pictured) has served on its advisory board, and two students work at the cafe.
From 5-8 p.m. today, a $10 donation gets you all-you-can-eat pastas, fresh rolls, salad, and a beverage. Culinary students will be serving gusts.
