Congrats to SanTan Brewing in Chandler and Mother Road Brewing in Flagstaff, which won medals at the U.S. Open Beer Championship in Atlanta.
SanTan’s Sex Panther won a bronze medal in the Chocolate/Cocoa Beer category. Mother Road’s Anniversary Porter took the gold in Porter. They were the only Arizona breweries to win medals.
The annual competition – the only one to allow award-winning home brewers to compete against breweries worldwide – announced its medalists on the Fourth of July. More than 1,600 beers were submitted in 60-plus categories.
