Recently defunct Baby Kay’s Cajun House has opened in the former Cajun Seafood Corner space on Dobson south of Baseline in Mesa.
It marks the return of the locally owned restaurant, which was a Scottsdale and Phoenix favorite for years before closing its locations in those cities.
The menu includes four kinds of gumbo ($5.50-$7 per cup), as well as Cajun standards like jambalaya ($12.50), po’boys ($10-$12.50), crawfish and shrimp etoufee ($16.50-$19.25), and red beans and rice ($10).
Baby Kay’s is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
