Just in time for March Madness and the Suns’ playoff run, Stadium Sports Grill opens Friday at Tempe Marketplace.
The sports bar takes over the 13,000-square-foot, second-story space previously occupied by Cadillac Ranch, a roadhouse-style bar and grill that closed Nov. 2.
Stadium Sports Grill will have 60 60-inch televisions, two 70-inch screens and a giant 250-inch projection screen.
The venue promises “an original, elevated from-scratch take on both classic sports bar fare and contemporary, fork-and-knife worthy chef-crafted cuisine” – scoring 9 out of 10 on the culinary buzzwords scale.
The menu features the typical sports-bat categories – chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, and dinner entrees – with some unusual twists, such as a foot-long Sonoran dog and a pulled pork sandwich with chile-maple sauce and bacon.
Arizona Mac N Cheese with pulled chicken and poblano peppers highlights the house specialties, which range from General’s chicken to fish and chips to carne asada tacos.
The bar will offer 20 beers on tap.
Happy hour will be 3-6 p.m. daily with reverse happy hour from 9:30 p.m.-close. Drink specials will include $1 off drafts and premium wells, $2 off glasses of wine, and $4 frozen margaritas.
Stadium Club Sports will be open 11 a.m.-midnight Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday-Sunday.
