The Valley’s craft beer community once again is rallying to help one of its own.
Sunday night, The Brass Tap at Mesa Riverview will host a fundraiser for Gavin Hillman, the infant son of Shawn Hillman from Pitcher of Nectar Distributing.
Gavin suffers from hydrocephalus, a life-threatening condition more commonly known as “water on the brain,” and other medical issues.
Starting at 6 p.m., The Brass Tap will donate 25 percent of all the evening’s sales to the Hillmans.
Beers on tap will include a keg of Arizona Wilderness Refuge IPA, a rarity outside the Gilbert brew pub.
There’ll be a slew of gift baskets and gift certificates from Four Peaks, The Perch, Sleepy Dog, Grand Canyon, Sierra Nevada, and other breweries for raffle.
Flanny’s, Boulders on Broadway, World of Beer, and other craft beer bars also are contributing items.
The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild is donating four tickets to next weekend’s Baja Oktoberfest in Tucson.
The highlight of the evening will be the auction of three guitars signed by local rockers Jimmy Eat World.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend.
