On Saturday, Alfonso’s opened its first East Valley location on the southwest corner of Gilbert and Queen Creek in the space that formerly housed New Mexican Grill.

The menu features tacos, burritos, tortas, and enchiladas. Combination plates start at $7.25.

For early risers, Alfonso’s also offers breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, and chilaquiles.

No alcohol is served.

Hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.

Another Alfonso’s soon will open on the northwest corner of Country Club and Southern in Mesa.
