The Brass Tap at Mesa Riverview will host a Founders Brewing mini tap takeover from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

On tap will be a unique beer called BLiS Blast, the Michigan brewery’s All Day IPA aged for five months in BLiS Blast hot sauce barrels.

Founders first uses the bourbon barrels to age its Kentucky Breakfast Stout, then maple syrup, then hot sauce (sold on its website), and finally the IPA.

The IPA picks up all the previous flavors, with the hot sauce’s three chiles – chipotle, arbol, and cayenne – being most prominent.

Other Founder’s beers on tap Friday will include:

  • All Day session IPA (regular version)
  • Centennial IPA
  • Double Trouble DIPA
  • Porter
  • Rubaeus (raspberry summer seasonal) on nitro

In addition, the next-door iCream Cafe will be on hand making Rubaeus sorbet.
