St. Patrick’s Day specials & celebrations from MXSW sponsors (updated)

Fibber Magees Irish Pub: Historically, this Chander venue hosts the East Valley’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day block party, and this year is no exception. Doors open at 8 a.m. There will be food and drink specials, as well as promotions, all day. A beer garden will be set up in the parking lot. Me & My Brothers, Spirited Lad, and Cockswain will provide live music. Admission is $10 after 11 a.m.

Skeptical Chymist: Fibber Magees’ sibling in Scottsdale also hosts a block party. Cockswain, The Big Fellahs, and Spirited Lads perform. Admission also is $10 after 11 a.m.

Bourbon Jacks: Food specials include corned beef and cabbage and Guinness beef stew. The Rich Adams Band plays 2-6 p.m., with Jelly Jam from 7-11.

Flying Basset Brewing: Food specials, available all weekend, include corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes for $13 and shepherd’s pie with soda bread for $13. Drink specials on Sunday include $3 Green Basset Lights, $5 Luck of the Irish shots, $5 shamrock martinis, and $8 Irish Car Bombs.

Good Time Charli’s: Food specials starting at 11 a.m. will include corned beef and cabbage ($13.99). There also will be $5 Jameson shots, $6 Guinness pints, $7 Irish Car Bombs, and $12 Jameson flights. Live music from Southbound and Long Haul on the patio (1-7 p.m.) and a jam session with Adrenaline inside (8-11).

The Hungry Monk: Food specials, available Saturday and Sunday, include corned beef and cabbage ($12.50), Left Hand Milk Stout beef stew ($7), Irish nachos ($9.50), and corned beef sliders ($8). Drink specials include $5 Left Hand Milk Stout pints, $5 Jameson shots, $5 Baby Guinness, $5 Green Tea shots, $5 Irish Orgasms, $6 The Closers, $6 Leprechaun Koolades, and $7.50 Left Hand Car Bombs.

Pier 54: Corned beef and cabbage served all weekend. There also will be drink specials and green beer all weekend. Live music from The Flare from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday and The Griffins from 5-7 Sunday.

SunUp Brewing: Food specials include house-brined corned beef and cabbage with new potatoes and carrots, Irish Stew, and Irish soda bread. On Friday, the pub taps Foggy Dew, its Irish dry stout on nitrogen.

The Brass Tap (Gilbert): Doors open at 11 a.m. Food specials include $12.99 corned beef and cabbage, $14.99 fish and chips, and $8.99 burgers. Drink specials include $5 green beers and $5-$8 Irish Car Bombs.

The Brass Tap (Mesa): Colorado brewery Great Divide hosts a pregame party before the Rockies-Cubs spring-training game.

The Local Chandler: All-day food specials include corned beef Reubens, bangers and mash, and Irish tacos. Drinks specials include $5 Tullamore Dew and $6 Guinness pints. Giveaways all day. Live music from The Fab (2 p.m.), Stumbling Moxie (5:30), and KAB (9). No cover.
