El Taco Santo, a popular food truck that serves Sonoran-style grilled tacos and quesadillas, has opened a bricks-and-mortar restaurant on the southeast corner of 40th Street and Chandler in Ahwatukee.
As first reported by MXSW in August, owners Cesar Martinez and Adrian Felix Gallego moved into the strip-mall space formerly occupied by the Chakra 4 Herb Co. tea house.
Their food truck often operated from the parking lot of the Firestone tire store in front of the restaurant.
The food truck will continue to operate at various locations around the East Valley in support of the restaurant.
